The SAVAHCS is proud to announce its annual Virtual Homeless Summit: “Perseverance Through Difficult Times” - A no-cost virtual community event discussing the regional issues and situation for homelessness in the southern region of Arizona.
This is a special opportunity for you to connect with VA and community leadership and collaborate on solutions. The agenda will be sent to all registrants in early September. The Arizona Coalition for Military Families is proud to announce a partnership with Purdue University’s Military Family Research Institute, the Center for Deployment Psychology Uniformed Services University, and the National Guard. Together, we’re offering an opportunity to participate in a three-tiered virtual training experience through Zoom available to anyone who would like to gain a better understanding of the experiences of service members, veterans, and their families.

Learn about Posttraumatic Stress and how it may be impacting you or your loved ones. Explore VA and community resources available to help Service Members, Veterans, family members, and caregivers. The summit will include a general session with important information about PTSD treatment and the PACT Act. There will also be breakout sessions to discuss special topics with our VA providers about PTSD and its impact.
Hear from a renowned expert in this area, our keynote speaker Dr. Harold G. Koenig. Dr. Koenig is the author of Spiritual Readiness and numerous research projects. Dr. Koenig is a Professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and the director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology, and Health at Duke University. Dr. Koenig will share insights about spiritual resiliency and the ways to attain it. Following Dr. Koenig’s keynote address will be a panel of chaplains from each of the services to share their insights on
spiritual resiliency. There is no cost for this event and all are welcome!
