Resource Navigation Training

By taking this training, you will become a Resource Navigator equipped with the knowledge and skills to recognize needs and help people by connecting them to available resources. You will learn:

  • How barriers affect access to resources
  • Resource navigation strategies
  • How to link people resources to address a range of issues

Anyone interested in being more helpful to Arizona-based service members, veterans, and their family members should attend this training session.

In this training, you will learn how to access helpful resources available to Arizona service members, veterans and their families. You’ll After attending this session, you’ll be equipped with the skills to help service members, veterans and their families connect to resources. Topics covered in the training include:

  • Arizona’s Be Connected Program – Overview and goals
  • Military/Veteran Culture – Understanding the unique aspects of military life
  • Resource Connection Guide – How to use and implement
  • Key Access Factors – What affects a person’s or family’s access to resources
  • Navigation Strategies – Effective techniques for resource linking
  • Community Linking – Connecting to resources concerning: Employment, Family Issues, Finances, Higher Education, Housing and Homelessness, Legal Issues, Mental Health, Physical Health, and Spirituality

No. The training is provided at no cost to you. 

The training is available virtually.

Virtual sessions are typically held each month throughout the year. Each session begins at 9:00 AM Arizona time (MST). The training lasts 90 minutes. View 2024 dates and sign up.
