Connecting Veterans, Employers and the Community
The Arizona Roadmap to Veteran Employment is a statewide plan that engages public and private sector organizations to connect service members, veterans, and their family members to gainful employment opportunities, professional development, and training opportunities and resources.
The Arizona Roadmap to Veteran Employment and the Arizona Veteran Supportive Employer Designation are part of Be Connected Career Navigation services provided in partnership and coordination with the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family, Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity and the ARIZONA@WORK state workforce system.
Earn the Arizona Veteran Supportive Employer Designation
Central to the plan is a network of Arizona Veteran Supportive Employers (AVSE). These employers have pursued the AVSE designation through a program that indicates to job seekers that their organization is committed to hiring veterans, their spouses, and family members. The AVSE designation is a sign that the organization is equipped to support the military and veteran lifestyle with recruitment, workplace, and retention policies and practices that more effectively recruit, hire and retain veterans and the spouses and family members of active-duty members and veterans.
