The Arizona Coalition for Military Families is Arizona’s statewide public/private partnership and collective impact initiative focused on the 500,000+ service members, veterans and their families who call our state home.

The Coalition was established in 2009 after a year-long needs assessment of Arizona’s military and veteran community. The federal Joint Family Support Assistance Program (JFSAP) had deployed into every state and territory to build support for all military families. In Arizona, the focus was on building the capacity of our community to reach, serve and support all service members, veterans and their families.

Originally incubated within the Arizona National Guard, the Coalition transitioned under the umbrella of a nonprofit fiscal sponsor in 2010 and has continued as a public/private partnership ever since for more than a decade.
