Coaching Into Connection
Discover new experiences, meaningful connections, and personalized support.
If you’re feeling cut off from the people or activities that once brought you joy, you’re not alone. More than half of Americans feel lonely. That’s why Coaching Into Connection was created – to help people reconnect with community, purpose, and support.
What is Coaching Into Connection?
Nicola Winkel, Project Director for the Arizona Coalition for Military Families joins Arizona’s Family to talk about the Coaching Into Connection program available to Arizona service members, veterans and their families.
How Does It Work?
Coaching Into Connection pairs you with a dedicated Connection Coach who takes the time to understand your interests, goals, and lifestyle. Together, you’ll explore activities that fit your interests – whether that’s joining a book club, getting outside for a hike, taking a class, or simply meeting someone for coffee.
There’s no cost to participate, and support is available to help with transportation or activity fees, so that nothing stands in your way.
We're Here to Help
Services are provided statewide in Arizona to service members, veterans and their family members at no cost and funds may be available to help with the cost of activities. Our Connection Coaches are military veterans who will:
- Identify opportunities for connection to family, friends and community.
- Create a connection plan tailored to the interests of the participant (recreational activities, community events, sports, hobbies, support groups, spirituality, volunteering, and learning opportunities).
- Address any barriers (e.g., transportation and cost).
