We invite you to join us for the Be Connected Community Corps training series. This self-paced virtual training is offered at no cost to any Arizonan interested in becoming a source of support for service members, veterans, and their families. Military Child Month is observed in the United States during the month of April to recognize and honor the sacrifices and resilience of the children of military families.

Gold Star Spouses Day is observed annually on April 5 to honor the surviving spouses of fallen service members. The day recognizes the sacrifices made by Gold Star Spouses who have lost their partner in the line of duty while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day is observed on April 9 each year to honor and recognize the sacrifices and courage of prisoners of war (POWs) and their families. This day commemorates the brave men and women who have endured the hardships and atrocities of being held captive during times of conflict.
The workshop will provide the participants with a safe experiential and interactive way to address anger, loss, grief and guilt. The workshop has been conducted for nearly 400 Arizona veterans during the last 10 years.
Purple Up Day is a special day of recognition for military children that is observed on April 15. On this day, people are encouraged to wear the color purple as a symbol of support for military kids and their families.

Military Appreciation Month is observed every May to recognize and honor the service and sacrifices of our military personnel and their families. The month includes a variety of observances and events that work to increase awareness and support for our service members, veterans, and their families.
National Loyalty Day serves as an opportunity to reflect on the fundamental principles of freedom, liberty, and democracy that define America and to reaffirm our commitment to upholding these values.
