Potsdam Conference

The Potsdam Conference, held from July 17 to August 2, 1945, in Potsdam, Germany, brought together world leaders to negotiate the end of World War II.

Korean War Ends

The Korean Armistice Agreement, signed on July 27, 1953 officially ended the Korean War.

Operation Starlite

Operation Starlite, conducted from August 18 to 24, 1965, was the first major offensive by U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

U.S. Withdraws from Afghanistan

The United States completed its troop withdrawal from Afghanistan on August 30, 2021, ending nearly two decades of military involvement.

Inchon Landing

The Battle of Inchon, codenamed Operation Chromite, was a pivotal amphibious assault during the Korean War, conducted from September 15 to 19, 1950.

Battle of Seoul (Second)

The Second Battle of Seoul (September 20–28, 1950) saw UN forces recapture Seoul from North Korean control during the Korean War.

Battle of Mosul (2004)

The Battle of Mosul was fought in November 2004 during the Iraq War, as insurgents attempted to seize the city amid the U.S. offensive in Fallujah.

Operation Enduring Freedom Begins

On October 7, 2001, Operation Enduring Freedom began as a U.S.-led campaign to dismantle al-Qaeda and remove the Taliban from power in Afghanistan following the September 11 attacks.

Battle of Fallujah (Second)

The Second Battle of Fallujah, or Operation Phantom Fury, was a major U.S.-led offensive from November 7 to December 23, 2004, during the Iraq War.

Battle of Ia Drang

The Battle of Ia Drang (November 14–18, 1965) was the first major clash between U.S. Army forces and the People's Army of Vietnam in the Vietnam War.

Battle of Chosin Reservoir

The Battle of Chosin Reservoir (November 27–December 13, 1950) was a key Korean War clash where 30,000 UN troops, mostly U.S. Marines, faced brutal temperatures and 100,000 Chinese forces in North Korea.

Battle of Tora Bora

The Battle of Tora Bora, fought from December 3 to 17, 2001, was a significant military engagement during the early stages of the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan.
