    Looking for things to do in your community with people who understand you? We help veterans, service members and military families in Arizona find groups, events and activities.     The Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) hosts Quarterly Informational Forums to help community partners understand programs and connect people to services.

  • Entrepreneurship Training Program

    This no-cost, eight-week program empowers veterans, service members, and military-connected family members to turn their business ideas into reality. Participants gain essential business skills, expert coaching, and access to a supportive community of peers and professionals. Space is limited, and the deadline to apply is January 21, 2026 with rolling admissions.

  • Operation Desert Storm Begins

    Operation Desert Storm started with an aerial bombing campaign against Iraq on January 17, 1991, and concluded with the U.S.-led liberation of Kuwait on February 28, 1991.

  • Homeless and Struggling Women Veterans Stand Up

  • Four Chaplains Day

    Four Chaplains Day is a holiday that honors the memory of four chaplains who sacrificed their own lives to save others during World War II. On February 3, 1943, the USAT Dorchester, a military transport ship, was torpedoed by a German submarine.

  • USO Birthday

    The USO, or United Service Organizations, is a nonprofit organization that provides programs, services, and live entertainment to members of the U.S. military and their families.

  • Battle of Marjah (Operation Moshtarak)

    The Battle of Marjah (Operation Moshtarak) was launched on February 13, 2010, as a major NATO-led offensive in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, aiming to eliminate Taliban control in the region.

  • Salute To Veteran Patients

    Salute to Veteran Patients Day is a holiday observed annually on February 14. The day is dedicated to honoring and showing appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans who have served their country, particularly those who are currently hospitalized and receiving medical care.
