The Homeless and Struggling Women Veterans Stand Up event is focused on meeting the unique needs of women veterans who are experiencing homelessness or facing challenges maintaining stable housing. This Stand Up is designed to create a supportive, women-centered environment where participants are welcomed with respect, care, and understanding. The focus is on ensuring participants leave with a clearer understanding of available services, meaningful connections to support, and the reassurance that they are seen, valued, and supported.
Throughout the day, women veterans will have the opportunity to connect with community exhibitors, volunteers, and service providers offering programs and resources tailored to their specific needs.
For this event, a homeless woman veteran is defined as a woman who has served in the military and currently lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.
A struggling woman veteran is defined as a woman who has served in the military, has housing, but is experiencing difficulty maintaining stability or accessing basic needs.
