Phoenix, AZ – (Jun. 28, 2021) – What is an ecosystem and how does that relate to our work to support service members, veterans and their families? Great question! When we go out and talk about our holistic approach to supporting veterans, we have described it as an ecosystem- an interconnected network that is focused on providing complete support for the needs of Arizona service members, veterans and their families.
But how do you draw that? How do you make a video about that? That is exactly the problem we tackled this spring. We wanted to provide a visual to our partners and those we serve so they could see all of the many facets that our ecosystem offers.
At its basic level, the Be Connected Ecosystem of Support offers a holistic approach to ensure that service members, veterans and their families receive the care and support they deserve. The visual we created also demonstrates how everyone in our community has a role to play to contribute to Arizona’s well known national reputation for being a military and veteran supportive community.
We wanted anyone viewing this graphic to see that we approach our work from every angle – supporting service members and veterans of all ages, no matter what era they served, no matter how long they served and without regard to their disability or discharge status. If you served, we will support you. We also support the family members and caregivers of veterans. If you love someone who served, or if you help care for someone who served – we will support you.
We draw in partners across all levels of government as well as hundreds of other organizations including employers, corporate partners and other non-profit entities to build that network of resources to tackle any issue or need a service member (including Active Duty, Guard and Reserve members), veterans or their families may be facing.
We’re on a mission to connect every Arizona service member, veteran and their family members to support and resources for wellness, employment, benefits and more! If you or someone you know could benefit from the Be Connected Ecosystem of Support, we invite you to call 866-4AZ-VETS (866-429-8387).
