Be Connected is hosting a no-cost Military/Veteran Helper Training all around Arizona. The latest session is being held in Lake Havasu City. The session empowers community members to support Arizona’s veterans and reduce suicide by equipping participants with skills to connect veterans to vital resources. Be Connected is bringing its Military/Veteran Helper Training on a statewide tour that will stop in Lake Havasu City. The training is offered at no cost to any member of the community interested in supporting Arizona’s 500,000+ service members, veterans and their families. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch and receive a special welcome gift.
The training will be held:
- Tuesday, February 25, 2025
- 9 AM to 1 PM MST
- Mohave Community College, Lake Havasu City Campus

By participating, attendees will become part of the Be Connected Community Corps, a network of helpers dedicated to providing support for Arizona’s service members, veterans, and their families. The training will address critical topics such as:
- Arizona’s military and veteran population and associated risk factors
- Essential tools for community helpers
- Who to contact when additional help is needed
- The importance of self-care for helpers
- The Be Connected Ecosystem of Support and how to access it
This training empowers community members to create positive change by improving the conditions that influence health and working to reduce veteran suicide in Arizona.
