Military Saves Month

Military Saves Month is a national campaign that takes place each year during April to encourage military service members, veterans, and their families to save money, reduce debt, and build wealth.

Military Child Month

Military Child Month is observed during April to recognize and honor the sacrifices and resilience of the children of military families.

National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day

On National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day, Americans are encouraged to fly the POW/MIA flag and participate in ceremonies and events to honor and remember these veterans. It is also a reminder to support and care for those who have returned home as well as those who are still missing in action or held as prisoners of war.

Fall of Baghdad

On April 9, 2003, Iraqi civilians and U.S. Marines toppled Saddam Hussein's statue in Baghdad, symbolizing the regime's fall.

Purple Up! Day

Purple Up! Day is a special day of recognition for military children observed on April 15. On this day, people are encouraged to wear the color purple as a symbol of support for military kids and their families.

Fall of Saigon

The Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, marked the end of the Vietnam War.

Loyalty Day

Loyalty Day serves as an opportunity to reflect on the fundamental principles of freedom, liberty, and democracy that define America and to reaffirm our commitment to upholding these values.

Military Appreciation Month

Military Appreciation Month is an opportunity for all Americans to express gratitude and support for our military community, and to recognize their commitment to protecting our country and upholding our values of freedom, democracy, and security.

Military Caregiver Month

The month-long observance works to raise awareness of the unique challenges that military caregivers face and to show appreciation for their vital role in supporting the health and well-being of those who have served our country.

Osama bin Laden Killed

Military Spouse Appreciation Day
