We invite you to explore more ways to get involved and connect Arizona’s service members, veterans and their families. Listed here are upcoming training and events conducted by the Arizona Coalition for Military Families and our partners.

  • Children Of Fallen Patriots Day

    The day works to raise awareness and encourage support for the children of fallen heroes, so that they may have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. The day also honors the courage and sacrifices made by the fallen service members who gave their lives in service to their country, and serves as a reminder of the ongoing needs of their families.

  • Military Caregiver Day

    Military Caregiver Day is observed on the third Friday of May to honor and recognize the contributions of military caregivers. Military caregivers are individuals who provide care and support for wounded, ill or injured service members and veterans.

  • Armed Forces Day

    Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the third Saturday in May each year to honor and recognize the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces.

  • Memorial Day

    Memorial Day is a federal holiday that is observed on the last Monday in May. Its primary purpose is to honor and remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.

  • PTSD Awareness Month

    PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) Awareness Month is observed during the month of June to raise awareness about the impact of PTSD and promote efforts to support those affected by it.

  • U.S. Army Birthday

    The U.S. Army Birthday is an annual observance that commemorates the formation of the United States Army on June 14, 1775

  • Flag Day

    Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the American flag on June 14, 1777. The significance of this day lies in the recognition of the importance of the flag as a symbol of national unity, pride, and freedom. The observance of Flag Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who have fought for and defended the flag, as well as the values and ideals it represents.

  • Independence Day

    The significance of July 4th lies in its recognition of the American ideals of liberty, democracy, and self-determination, which have become a cornerstone of our nation's identity. The holiday is an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who fought for American independence and to renew the country's commitment to upholding the principles enshrined in the Declaration of Independence.

  • National Hire a Veteran Day

    National Hire a Veteran Day serves to raise awareness about the importance of hiring veterans, and to encourage businesses to provide support and resources for veterans as they enter the civilian workforce.

  • U.S. Coast Guard Birthday

    This day recognizes the dedication and service of the Coast Guard's brave men and women who have protected the country's maritime interests for over two centuries.

  • Purple Heart Day

    Purple Heart Day is observed on August 7 to honor and remember the men and women who have been wounded or killed while serving in the U.S. military.

  • ACMF Birthday

    Today we celebrate 15 years since the Arizona Coalition for Military Families was launched on August 19, 2009.
