  • Air Force Day

    First observed in 1947, the day was first designed by President Harry S. Truman as a day "in recognition of the personnel of the victorious Army Air Forces and all those who have developed and maintained our nation's air strength."

  • Purple Heart Day

    This day was created for Americans to remember and honor the nation's brave men and women who sustained injuries or were killed while serving and were awarded the Purple Heart. To honor this day, reflect on the bravery demonstrated by U.S. service members and veterans. Recognize the courage displayed by so many in the face of danger, the valor of the injured and the heroism in making the ultimate sacrifice for America.

  • National Service Dog Month

    National Service Dog month is an opportunity to recognize the animals that have been specially trained to provide support for people in need who may be living with medical issues, impaired mobility, or addressing mental health needs.
