Military Appreciation Month is an opportunity for all Americans to express gratitude and support for our military community, and to recognize their commitment to protecting our country and upholding our values of freedom, democracy, and security. The month-long observance works to raise awareness of the unique challenges that military caregivers face and to show appreciation for their vital role in supporting the health and well-being of those who have served our country. Memorial Day is a federal holiday that is observed on the last Monday in May. Its primary purpose is to honor and remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. |
