Be Connected Partnership

At its core, Be Connected is a partnership effort. There is a network of hundreds of public and private sector organizations statewide who serve and support military members, veterans and their families day in and day out.

Be Connected partner organizations include:

  • Federal government agencies
  • Active duty, Guard & Reserve military entities
  • State government agencies
  • Local governments
  • Veteran Service Organizations
  • Community organizations
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Arizona Veteran Supportive Campuses
  • Arizona Veteran Supportive Employers
  • And more!

Public and private sector organizations are invited to become Be Connected partner organizations. All the needed training and technical assistance is provided by the Arizona Coalition for Military Families team at no cost to organizations.

There are 400+ Be Connected partner organizations statewide. These organizations have taken extra steps to more effectively serve our military and veteran community. The partner organizations also abide by our community-developed guiding principles and ethical considerations. Learn more: www.ArizonaCoalition.org/guidelines-for-care

Is your organization interested in becoming part of a statewide, nationally-recognized ecosystem of support for service members, veterans, their families and supporters?

Be Connected Partner Organizations include both public and private sector organizations that have taken proactive steps to provide services and support to the military and veteran community across Arizona. With Guidelines of CARE, Ethical Considerations and direct connections to the statewide Be Connected team, your organization can become equipped as an open door to connect service members, veterans and their families to the right resources at the right time.

Examples of how organizations utilize Be Connected:

  • A veteran employee misses the camaraderie of the military and is interested in finding a support group.
  • A client, who is a military spouse, is seeking gainful employment.
  • A client, who is a veteran, mentioned financial need during her checkup, and you are unsure how to assist.
  • An employee, child of a veteran, is the veteran’s caregiver and is curious about what benefits the veteran may be eligible for.
  • An employee, who is a Reservist, explains that he has been struggling with mental health issues.

These situations can be challenging to approach, but the Be Connected program is the centralized resource that provides tools to be the right door when someone reaches out for help. By calling the Be Connected support line, visiting the Be Connected website, or attending any number of training opportunities, you become equipped to connect with the communities around you and find answers to any of the above questions, and more.

What does the partnership process look like?

First, an organization submits a Be Connected Partner Referral form, by clicking here.

A member of the Be Connected: Community Engagement team will then follow up to ask for additional information, including completing and submitting an application.

After the application has been submitted by the Be Connected: Community Engagement team, it will be reviewed by Be Connected leadership. If approved, you will receive an approval email from the Be Connected team with next steps in the partner process, including Be Connected logos to add to your website, training opportunities and having your partner organization profile built and added to the Be Connected website. If you are interested in reading about the training opportunities beforehand, you can view types and descriptions here.

As your organization becomes immersed in the Be Connected ecosystem, the Be Connected team is on standby to provide technical assistance, ongoing training (including in-service opportunities tailored to your organization’s needs) and ensuring your organization is able to engage with the Be Connected program in as many ways as possible.
