Gold Star Spouses Day
Gold Star Spouses Day is observed annually on April 5 to honor the surviving spouses of fallen service members. The day recognizes the sacrifices made by Gold Star Spouses who have lost their partner in the line of duty while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Gold Star is a symbol of the sacrifices made by military families, and the spouses of fallen heroes bear a significant burden of loss and grief. On this day, the nation pays tribute to the strength, resilience, and courage of these spouses who have endured the ultimate sacrifice. It is a day to show support for these families and to honor the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
