Military Datacenter Pathways Pilot Program

Event Details:
Microsoft and Hiring Our Heroes have launched a paid Military Datacenter Pathways pilot program designed for veterans who enjoy hands-on, technical work. This opportunity is well-suited for veterans with experience in HVAC, electrical maintenance, mechanical systems, or similar technical trades.

Participants complete part-time remote training followed by a fully funded, one-week in-person training hosted by Microsoft in Boydton, Virginia. All flights, lodging, and meals are covered.

Key dates include:
January 26, 2026: Virtual training begins
March 2–5, 2026: Mandatory in-person training
March 20, 2026: Program completion

Selections are expected to be finalized by January 15, 2026. Early interest is encouraged.

Hiring Our Heroes is also offering access to IBM SkillsBuild, a free online learning platform with more than 1,000 courses in AI, data science, cybersecurity, and other in-demand fields. The platform is open to anyone 18 or older and includes digital badges upon completion

Admission:
Program participation is free. Travel and training costs for the in-person session are fully covered.
