Maricopa County StandDown & Legal Assistance for Veterans

Maricopa County, AZ – (Feb. 8, 2025) – Ahead of the Maricopa County Veteran StandDown, veterans in the Maricopa County area can access free legal assistance from February 3 to March 7, 2025. This program is provided by the Arizona Coalition for Military Families and the Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance.

Services Offered
Veterans can receive help with a wide range of legal issues, including:

  • Bankruptcy and Collections
  • City Court Cases for Carefree, Cave Creek, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Glendale, Gilbert, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe
  • Civil Claims
  • Criminal Cases
  • Divorce, Child and Spousal Support
  • Estate Planning
  • Justice Court Misdemeanor Cases
  • Landlord and Tenant
  • Marijuana Expungements
  • Restoration of Rights
  • Social Security and Disability
  • VA Disability and Military Discharge Issues

Accessing the Service
To access these services, veterans should contact Be Connected at 866-4AZ-VETS (866-429-8387) Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm for an initial screening. After the initial screening, a follow-up call from the legal team will be arranged.

Maricopa County Veteran StandDown
Veterans in the Maricopa County area can access a variety of resources all in one place. Veterans are encouraged to attend and connect with other veterans, community leaders, and helpful resources.

  • Thursday, March 13 from 7 AM to 3 PM
  • Friday, March 14 from 7 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85007

In addition to these legal services, the Maricopa County Veteran StandDown event will offer resources related to:
