Fall of Baghdad
April 9, 2027
On April 9, 2003, during the U.S. invasion of Iraq, a 12-meter statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad’s Firdos Square was toppled by Iraqi civilians with assistance from U.S. Marines. This event, broadcast worldwide, came to symbolize the fall of Hussein’s regime.
