DESCRIPTION:Understanding the Military Experience Training\nThe Arizona Coalition for Military Families is proud to announce a partnership with Purdue University’s Military Family Research Institute\, the Center for Deployment Psychology Uniformed Services University\, and the National Guard. \nTogether\, we’re offering an opportunity to participate in a three-tiered virtual training experience through Zoom available to anyone who would like to gain a better understanding of the experiences of service members\, veterans\, and their families. Each training builds on the one before\, and the three tiers must be taken sequentially. \n  \nDownload the Course List & Schedule\nRegister Now\n\nThe Tier 1 “Introduction to Military Culture and Deployment” course is a one-day event and is offered on 10/31 & 11/14\nThe Tier 2 “Overview of Behavioral Health Challenges Related to Military Service” course is a two-day event and is offered 11/17 – 11/18 & 12/1 – 12/2\nThe “Intimate Partner Violence” course is a 2-hour course offered on 11/4.\nThere and two Tier 3 courses. The “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia” course is a two-day event offered 10/27 – 10/28. The “Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD” course is offered 11/9 – 11/10.

DESCRIPTION:November 8 & 9 \nTwin Arrow Navajo Casino Resort\n22181 Resort Blvd\, Flagstaff\, Arizona\, 85013 \n7 AM – 5 PM \nNo-cost event open to the public \nThis FREE event is for Tribal Veterans\, Military Service Members and their families\, providers\, partners\, and stakeholders. Our theme this year is “One Team One Fight: Resilience & Renewal” \nThe 4th Annual Statewide Tribal Veterans Symposium is a collaborative effort between Health Choice Arizona Tribal Program\, Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care System\, and the Office of US Congressman Tom O’Halleran. On behalf of the planning committee\, we invite you to join us. The Statewide Tribal Veterans Symposium was created to focus on Tribal Veterans’ health\, healthcare\, and wellness. We will provide presentations that will allow for program and service awareness\, professional growth\, and networking. We are excited to provide important topics to our Tribal Veterans and communities. In addition\, we are very excited to have information tables available Tuesday\, November 8 & 9. Gourd Dance/Cultural Gathering will be November 8 starting at 4 pm MST. \n\nPlease stop by the Be Connected Table on November 8\nArizona Coalition for Military Families’ Director Thomas Winkel will be speaking on Nov 9 from 1:15 – 2:215 PM\n\nThis IN-PERSON event is being hosted at the Twin Arrows Casino Resort. Please note that there are COVID-19 safety precautions in place while at the event. Face masks are required while in the facility. \nThere is a block of rooms set aside for those will would like to stay on-site. The Group rate is $138.00+ tax/night. All reservations must be made individually through the Hotel’s Reservations Department by calling (928) 856-7541 by the cut-off date of Tuesday\, November 1\, 2022. Please reference Booking ID#9625 when calling to make your reservation. \nThe hotel requires deposits to guarantee all reservations. The deposit is to be equal to a one night’s stay plus tax. Room deposits are refundable in the event of individual room cancellations\, providing notice is received 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date.
