How do you make a half a million people aware of a dedicated service available to support them? That’s the question that was on our mind as we launched the Connect Every Veteran campaign.
Starting May 1, 2021, you’ll see and hear a series of public service announcements on television and radio stations across Arizona to raise awareness about the services available through the Be Connected program, by calling 866-4AZ-VETS (866-429-8387). The PSAs are being rolled out in partnership with the Arizona Broadcasters Association (ABA).
Connect Every Veteran is the result of an idea by Nicola Winkel, Project Director for the Arizona Coalition for Military Families. She wanted to focus the efforts of the Be Connected program in 2021 to raise awareness across Arizona about the connection to resources and support available to every service member, veteran, their families and communities throughout our state.

We want everyone to know there is a no cost service available right now to provide connection to resources for housing, employment, benefits, wellness, finances and more.”

The 30 second public service announcements are offered in English and Spanish through a collaborative effort between the ABA, Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, TriWest Healthcare Alliance and the Arizona Coalition for Military Families.
