Coming Soon - The 2023 Arizona Veteran Survey
The Arizona Veteran Survey was first conducted in 2017. It was the first-ever comprehensive survey of our state’s service members, veterans, their family members, and the veteran-supportive community. The data collected from the survey is used to inform programmatic and funding decisions for initiatives that strengthen the infrastructure across Arizona that offers care, services, and support to service members, veterans, and their families for employment, housing, transportation, higher education, financial stability, food security, and mental and physical wellness.
The 2017, 2019, and 2021 surveys received a total of more than 25,000 responses.
Check back in the summer of 2023 for the launch of the next Arizona Veteran Survey.
The Arizona Veteran Survey is open to all service members, veterans, family members, helpers, providers and community supporters.
- Service Members: Active duty, Guard & Reserve from all branches
- Veterans – Anyone who has served in the military, regardless of age, era or discharge status
- Family Members: Immediate and extended family members
- Helpers and Providers: Anyone who has a role in serving and supporting our military, veteran, and family population
- Community Members: Anyone in the community that cares about and support our service members, veterans & their families
The survey is conducted every two years. It opens in the summer and remains open through the following January. The next Arizona Veteran Survey will open in Summer 2023.
On average, the survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete. The survey has to be completed in one sitting once you start.
Yes, the Arizona Veteran Survey is completely anonymous. No personally identifiable information is collected. At the end of the survey, participants are given the option to sign up to receive a copy of the survey summary and/or survey rewards. This sign-up process is completely separate from the survey responses.
The information you provide will be added together with the information from everyone else who takes the survey to provide a picture of the strengths, needs, challenges, and opportunities for Arizona’s service members, veterans, and their families. The information from the survey will also help us better understand how the military and veteran community is accessing resources and what barriers may be preventing access to those resources.
All information will only be reported as group data. For the Indian Health Service and tribal questions, data will only be reported with the permission of the organizations.
